With the exception of Travel Trailers, RV's are motorized vehicles which means that the insurance for these vehicles is very much like insuring automobiles. However, there are additional coverages that can be added to these policies that are specific to RV's and should be considered when purchasing RV insurance. RV's, in most cases, can be added to an automobile policy - however, you can then only purchase auto-type coverages without the benefit of many coverages that RV'ers want. For that reason, at Sage Insurance we encourage our clients to insure under an RV policy designed to meet their individual needs.
